Basically, in a Nutshell:
The Sims 3 Help Forum is for when something is going wrong in the game or your PC/laptop isn't working correctly.
The Sims 3 General Discussion forum is for any other game questions.
The Sims 3 Custom Content: Lost and Found is for searching for a particular piece or theme of custom content.
The TSR Workshop General Discussion is for problems using the TSR Workshop creating tool.
The Site/Forum Discussions & General Help is for problems with the TSR website.
*We would also like to ask anyone posting a technical problem on the General PC Help section, or either the TS2 Help or TS3 Help sections when it relates to a graphical, game not starting or crashing issue, to include a DxDiag report with their thread. The following method works on both XP and Vista.
Go to Start > Run and type dxdiag into the box that shows up. Then save all information as a text file and copy and paste the first section under System Information and the fourth section under Display Drivers down to the part where it mentions the date of the driver.
It should look like this:
